In Uzbekistan, the responsibility for protecting minors increases

In the Legislative Chamber of the House of Commons, the draft law “on improving the system of protection against child abuse”was discussed. The project provides for increased punishment for committing shameless acts through the internet or telecommunications networks against persons under the age of 16, establishing responsibility for the possession of pornographic products depicting children.
The duration of the interrogation of a minor victim and witnesses will also be limited to one day, and their legal representatives will also take part in the process. Deputy Planetary Imamova noted that these changes serve to further strengthen the rights and interests of minors. 

According to statistics, in 8 months of 2025, there was a 36% increase in shameless acts against minors.
