In Uzbekistan, teachers of professional educational institutions and academic lyceums with an international C1 certificate are paid a bonus. This was reported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
It was reported that the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Economy and Finance "National assessment system must comply with international standards, authorized international organizations providing services in the field of education, internationally recognized and given in the national assessment system the list of certificates (their combination) and on setting their minimum level for receiving a monthly bonus" was signed.
According to it, starting from September 1, 2023, teachers of general education subjects of professional educational institutions (vocational schools, colleges and technical schools) and academic lyceums with at least C1 level certificates issued in the national assessment system will be paid at least 50 percent of the monthly premium will be paid.
Also, the decision includes the list of international standards with which the National Assessment System must comply, the list of authorized international organizations providing services in the field of education, the list of internationally recognized and national assessment system certificates (their combination) approved.
In September 2021, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced during a meeting with Fergana voters that he will not stop until the salary of teachers reaches $1,000. In a meeting with teachers and doctors in November 2020, the President announced big plans to increase their salaries.
"A teacher should not come to work if he does not receive $1,000. The same is the case with the doctor. If the doctor doesn't get $1,000, how will he feed his children and grandchildren tomorrow?" said the president. At that time, Shavkat Mirziyoyev criticized that many people are dissatisfied with the quality of medical services in the country.
