On June 25, deputies of the Oliy Majlis adopted the law "On further strengthening of children's rights".

According to it, if the parents or their substitutes illegally involve the child in the process of religious education, that is, the central state body will send the child to religious institutions without the permission of religious organizations, without a license or to persons who do not have special religious education. if he allows himself to receive money, he will be fined from 10 to 15 times of BHM (3.4 million - 5.1 million soums). For repeated violations, a fine of 15 to 25 times (5.1 million to 8.5 million soums) or up to 15 days of administrative imprisonment is applied.

Deputies say that this bill serves to protect children from religious extremism, separatism and fanaticism.
