In Uzbekistan, it is forbidden to keep some wild animals at home

The law, signed by the president, added and amended the law”on the protection and use of the animal world". This was reported by the channel “legal information” in Telegram.

According to him, it is forbidden by the population to keep certain types of wild animals in semi-free conditions, artificial habitat or in captivity.

The list of these animals and the procedure for their preservation by legal entities (organizations) are determined by the government. The law comes into force from the date of its official publication.

The 43rd plenary session of the Senate examined the law “on the addition and amendment of Section 43 of the law on the protection and use of the animal world”.

"The current legislative documents do not legally regulate the issue of domestication of wild predators and venomous animals by citizens. The analysis of cases related to the domestication of wild predators and dangerous animals assumes further improvement in the legislative documents of the rules governing the relationship between the preservation of wild animals by citizens,” said senator Boriy Alikhanov at the time.
