In Uzbekistan, it is expected that administrative responsibility will be established for covering one's face to the extent that it does not allow identifying one's identity in public places.

At the session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held on September 5, the deputies approved "On amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan." the bill was considered and adopted.

In order to further increase the effectiveness of the measures taken to maintain public order, in particular, information programs introduced within the framework of the "Safe City" concept, a measure of administrative responsibility is introduced for being in public places with the face covered to an extent that does not allow identification. .

In this case, as a condition excluding liability, on the basis of medical instructions or in cases related to labor and service activities, or in special headgear worn to ensure safety in traffic, or during sports and cultural events, by their participants, as well as , in other cases permitted by law, the state of being with the face covered is defined.

It was noted in the meeting that the adoption of this draft law will serve to increase the effectiveness of efforts to maintain public order.
