In Uzbekistan, cameras on roads record drivers who do not use a seat belt

The IIV jxd Yhxx reports that special devices that now detect violations throughout the Republic also record violations, such as violations of the rules for the use of a seat belt in driving a vehicle.According to traffic rules, the driver driving the vehicle whose construction provides for seat belts and passengers in its front seat are required to wear seat belts before commencing movement.

The following individuals are allowed not to wear seat belts:

children under 12 in the back seat of the car;
practical training instructor who teaches to drive a motor vehicle or urban electric vehicle while the student is driving a training vehicle;
pregnant women, patients whose health does not allow wearing a seat belt (in accordance with the list of diseases established by the Ministry of Health and when there is a medical certificate on the incidence of these diseases);
the driver and passengers of vehicles equipped with a blue or red or blue and Red Flash beacon attached to the serving officer and marked with special color paint schemes and inscriptions.
Under Section 125 (1) of the code of administrative responsibility, failure to comply with safety belt regulations causes a fine of 50% BHM (Rs 165,000).

Auction radar

Entrepreneurs are allowed to install cameras and radars on the roads from March 1, 2021. Plots are made available through online auctions.

The winners of the auction receive the plots for an unlimited period of time with the right to transfer them to other entrepreneurs. In 2021-2022, 3,356 camcorders and 763 radars were installed in this manner. For information, as of June 2021, radar and camera docking sites at intersections and roads in Uzbekistan began to be traded by auction. On July 1, the e-auction site auctioned off radar installations in Tashkent for the first time.
