In Uzbekistan, a prisoner who reads a book will have his sentence reduced by 3 days

Earlier we reported that a new draft law is being developed in Uzbekistan, which provides for a reduction in the sentence of convicts by reading a book. The bill was officially approved by the House of Commons Senate. 
In accordance with the law, the sentence of each convicted person who successfully passed the exam, reading the books on the list approved by the Republican Center for spirituality and enlightenment, is reduced to 3 days. This option is used for a year for a maximum of 30 days.

This procedure applies to all convicts except those who have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Currently, more than 13.5 thousand convicts can use this procedure.
