In Uzbekistan, 414 citizens were poisoned by food in 2023

In the Republic, 414 cases of poisoning were reported in the sakki of 2023. It was noted that for eight months, Group poisoning was recorded in 39 cases, in which 414 citizens were injured, three died. 86 of the victims are children. Of the poisoning cases, 21 (53.8 percent) had botulism, 1 had MTT (2.5 percent), 13 (23 percent) had esotoxicinfection, and 1 (2.5 percent) had chemical poisoning.

In 21 cases, 3 cases of botulism caused by the consumption of home — made canned products — Jizzakh, 6 — Samarkand and 6 more-fall on the Fergana regions.

When analyzing the causes of the origin of the recorded cases of food poisoning:

that the kitchens of public catering facilities, non-governmental educational institutions operate without compliance with the requirements of sanitary rules and norms;
kitchens are not fully equipped and the existing ones are in a spiritually worn or faulty state;
the use of food products for the preparation of the dish is not guaranteed in quality and safety;
it has been found that many of the chefs of catering facilities are not trained in the field, not knowing their cooking technologies, food storage, transportation and realization rules.
