In the park, a bear came to a populated area in search of food

In the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, a bear came to a populated area in search of food. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Ecology.

It was reported that on September 21 at 09:30 at the Department of Ecology of the Tashkent region, the Parkent District Department received a report of "So'koq Laziz Soli" in the "Tosar" area of the "So'qoq" village, one of the mountainous villages of the Parkent district. On the night of September 20, an appeal was received about the arrival of a Tian-Shan brown bear to the farm land.

In 2023, due to the colder winter season, some fruit trees and bushes in the mountainous regions were hit by frost, and the harvest was greatly reduced. As a result, the bear came to the residential area in search of food and took away 2 of the 14 sheep belonging to the farm. One sheep was injured.

Based on the application, a working group consisting of employees of the Parkent district department of the Ecology Department of Tashkent region and employees of the Wildlife department went to the scene and studied the situation. As a result of the study, it was found out that the logs intended for sheep were broken on the land of the farm "Soqoq Laziz Soli".

In this area, 4 families living in field sheds along with more than 30 black cattle, sheep and goats were moved to their living quarters.

Since September 21, the area where the bear fell is constantly monitored by Parkent District Ecology Department, Wildlife LLC employees, and Parkent District IIB inspectors. So far, no bears or other wild animals have been spotted.
