In Tashkent, a man who married a minor girl was found to have subjected her to violence

Videos circulated widely on social media alleging that a minor girl had been subjected to violence by the man with whom she was living in a *Sharia* marriage. Reports indicate that N.M. entered into a *Sharia* marriage with Ch.B. on August 28, 2025, and had been living with him since that date.
Preliminary information suggests that Ch.B. used force against the minor, N.M., to satisfy his sexual needs and inflicted bodily injuries upon her.
Currently, the Olmazor District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the matter.
Specifically, on October 5, interviews were held with the minor, N.M., and her aunt, N.N., involving staff from the Olmazor District "Inson" Social Services Center and the district Department of Internal Affairs. Necessary measures are being taken to protect the minor's rights and legitimate interests, ensure her safety, and stabilize her mental well-being. Additionally, a protection order has been issued for N.M. to prevent future instances of harassment and violence.
