In Tajikistan, they told how much pensioners cost for the state

The head of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions announced at a press conference how many pensioners live in the republic

Every month, the authorities of Tajikistan allocate 261 million somoni for the payment of pensions.

This was told by the head of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions Dilmurod Davlatzoda.

He noted that, compared with 2022, the country's leadership is pawning 8 million more.

The Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions added that the number of pensioners in the republic as of July 2023 is 769 thousand people.

Thus, out of the total number, 310,000 receive labor pensions, 269,000 receive insurance pensions, and 190,000 receive social pensions.

In addition, about 20% of all pensioners in Tajikistan are disabled.

Thus, 159 thousand people live in the country for elderly people with disabilities.

The average disability pension in the republic is 324.3 somoni, the agency specified.

All pensioners counted in Sughd

Earlier in Tajikistan, from July 1, pensions, scholarships, as well as salaries for teachers, scientists and doctors were indexed. In particular, the basic pension will be 250 somoni (approximately $23). However, this measure will not affect presidential payments.

Recall that in early February, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a decree on measures to be taken in 2023 to support the social protection of the population.

The head of state instructed the government to ensure this implementation at the expense of the funds provided in the state budget.
