In Tajikistan, payment is available through QR-code SBP

Customers can already make a purchase using a QR code in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, as well as in Cuba and Thailand, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation noted

Russian banks have launched QR code payments in Tajikistan through a fast payment system.

This was reported by the Central Bank of Russia.

It is noted that at least 2 Russian banks have launched such a payment scheme, and another 5 are testing the mechanism.

“To make a payment, just scan the QR and confirm the action,” the Central Bank of the Russian Federation reports.

Thus, clients can already carry out the operation in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, as well as in Cuba and Thailand.

“The market adapts flexibly to current conditions and quickly finds solutions for accepting non-cash transactions of citizens,” concluded the Central Bank of Russia.

Earlier, Bank Freedom Finance Kazakhstan expressed its intention to open a branch in Tajikistan.

According to the head of the Kazakh bank, Aidos Zhumagulov, the structure offers a wide range of digital banking products - digital mortgages, digital loans for the purchase of vehicles, payroll, commercial loans, savings, Internet banking.

The National Bank of Tajikistan expressed hope that such interaction will help attract Kazakhstan’s capital to the state’s economy.
