A decrease was registered in the export of goods from Tajikistan, while the import of goods increased. The difference reached almost 5 times
Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover for the nine months of this year amounted to $5.1 billion.
This was reported by the Customs Service of the Republic.
It was noted here that this figure is almost $508 million, or 9% less than for the same period in 2022.
Of the total trade turnover, almost $4.2 billion comes from imports and more than $934 million from exports.
According to customs authorities, in January-September 2023, compared to the same period last year, imports increased by almost $369 million, or 10%, while exports decreased by $877 million, or 48%.
About 82% of Tajikistan’s foreign trade is associated with the import of products into the country and more than 18% with sales abroad.
The Customs Service of Tajikistan reported that the payment plan for 9 months is about 5.5 billion somoni, but in practice during this period more than 6.7 billion somoni were received into the budget.
Trade turnover between Sogd and Kazakhstan exceeded $600 million
