In one of the districts of the Sughd region, they continue to eliminate the consequences of a natural disaster.

This was reported by the press service of the Committee for Emergency Incidents of Tajikistan.

So, in the Ayni district they are struggling with the results of emergency situations - a mudflow came down here. Residential premises and roads were cleared in the Langar settlement of Urmetan Jamoat.

Assistance was also provided to local residents - the victims received food, including flour, pasta, vegetable oil, rice, sugar and tea.

Employees of the CoES carry out cleaning of water pipes, streets and roads of the village from dirt and gravel.

The authorities allocated several pieces of equipment for these purposes, and local residents also came to the rescue.

Earlier it was reported that for 6 months of 2023, 475 natural emergencies were registered in the country. As a result of incidents, 30 people died.

However, out of the total number of disasters, only 36 caused material damage.
