In South Africa, men can take their wife's surname

The Constitutional Court of South Africa also allowed men to take the surname of their wife. It had previously been banned, which the court overturned as “gender-based discrimination”. Now that Parliament has changed the laws and regulations, men officially begin to take the surname of their spouse.
