As a result of illegal use of electricity and natural gas by some consumers in Uzbekistan in September, 111 billion 428 million soums were damaged in the system. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

It was reported that during the inspection activities carried out in September by "Uzenergoinspeksia" in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and experts of electricity and gas supply enterprises, cases of illegal use of natural gas and electricity by consumers were detected in 911 cases.

As a result of the theft of 94 million 533 thousand cubic meters of natural gas (91 billion 57 million soums) and 42 million 961 thousand kWh of electricity (20 billion 371 million soums), a total of 111 billion 428 million soums were brought into the system. aimed at recovering damages.

Samarkand, Fergana and Tashkent regions account for the largest number of cases of illegal use.

This amount of natural gas is equal to the monthly consumption of 472 thousand 665 households, and electricity of 214 thousand 805 households.

Actions were taken against the violating consumers in the prescribed manner, and relevant documents were submitted to the law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, it was found that Jizzakh LLC illegally used 3 billion 840 million soums or the amount of natural gas equivalent to the monthly consumption of 19,200 households. It was also reported that about 530 million soums worth of gas was illegally used in Tashkent, and how much damage was caused to the system in Uzbekistan due to the illegal use of electricity and gas in one month.
