In New York, a school bus fatally hit an 11-year-old girl from Uzbekistan

On February 5 in Brooklyn, 11-year-old Uzbek citizen Amira Aminova died after being struck by a school bus. The girl was crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing when a school bus turning right hit her and drove away without stopping.

She was taken to hospital with severe injuries, but doctors were unable to save her life. The 62-year-old driver said he did not notice the collision. He has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian and careless driving. A court hearing is scheduled for February 24.
