In Malaysia, the plane exploded
On 21 August, an F/A-18D Hornet belonging to the Malaysian Air Force caught fire during takeoff and exploded at the airport in Kuantan. Both pilots inside the aircraft survived by parachuting out.
An investigation into the case was launched.
