The Kazakh city of Karagan was cut off from power supply due to an accident at a thermal power plant. In ies, the accident occurred this morning. Because of this, electricity was out in the entire city.
"In Karaganda, the whole city was left without electricity. The authorities say that they do not know why, it is impossible to contact Jarik. People say that there was a serious accident in the IES, which supplies the city with energy,” the publication told the Montenegrins.
The municipality of the qarghanda region confirmed that an accident occurred at the energy facility. However, the head of the region did not give any further details of what happened.
"Dear residents of the Karaganda region, this morning an accident occurred at IES-3 and Taparskaya GRES-2 of the city of Karaganda. At IES-3, a technological violation took place in the form of activation of protection, as a result of which a 220 kV open switch was turned off. The reasons and circumstances are clarified,” said Ermambet Bulekpayev, governor of the Karaganda region.
The local executive body also noted that the exact number of subscribers left without power supply is also being clarified. On the commission of the head of the region, the first deputy of the governor went to the station where the incident occurred and studied all the circumstances of the incident. However, the regional authorities have not announced when the power supply will be fully restored.
Previously, the inhabitants of this region had experienced a natural disaster. After heavy rainfall, the city's streets were flooded, with the sewer system unable to withstand the effects of heavy rain.
