In total, 655 primary health care facilities will be built in the country
Currently, 99 primary health care facilities are being built in Kazakhstan, as well as major renovations of 4 multidisciplinary central district hospitals together with regional akimats. Construction work will be completed by the end of the year.
This was stated by First Vice Minister of Health Timur Sultangaziev, the department’s press service reports.
During a working trip to the Aktobe region, Sultangaziev held a meeting with the population and answered questions from journalists on various aspects of healthcare development.
The Vice Minister said that in general, as part of the national project to modernize rural healthcare, 655 primary health care facilities will be built in the country, including 29 facilities in the Aktobe region. These include 5 medical outpatient clinics, 4 feldsher-midwife stations, 20 medical stations.
Also, as part of the national project, it is planned to carry out major repairs and reconstruction of 32 inter-district central hospitals, which will be able to provide emergency medical care for heart attacks, strokes, injuries and other conditions in compliance with the “golden hour” principle.
To provide medical care to residents of hard-to-reach rural settlements, 149 mobile medical complexes operate; last year they served 1.7 million rural residents. There are 12 such complexes in the Aktobe region.
In addition, Sultangaziev noted, there are 78 stroke centers in the republic, 3 of which will open in 2023. Of these, 5 stroke centers and 3 percutaneous coronary intervention centers operate in the Aktobe region.
The network of stroke centers will be expanded to 81, and coronary intervention centers to 50.
