In the Shahrisabz district of Kashkadarya region, a woman made an eight-month-old baby drink high-concentration acetic acid that was not dissolved in water due to negligence and carelessness. On September 9, 2023, at 15:32, he was brought to the intensive care unit of the Kashkadarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care in a critical condition. The baby, whose condition worsened, was initially brought to the Shahrisabz District Medical Association Children's Hospital. Then sent to the branch. The patient was diagnosed with "acute acetic acid poisoning, 1st-2nd degree chemical burns of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, lips, larynx, larynx and esophagus, toxic nephritis, toxic myocarditis, toxic pneumonia." and was admitted to the intensive care unit. On the second day of the illness, stenosis and swelling of the upper respiratory tract developed due to burns of the upper respiratory tract, and the patient experienced respiratory failure of the 3rd degree and sudden cardiac arrest as a result of cardiovascular insufficiency. After intensive resuscitation measures, the heartbeat was restored and the baby was put on artificial respiration. After that, a consultation was held with the participation of a toxicologist, a resuscitator, a combustiologist, a pediatric surgeon and other specialists.
