Discontent with the government's judicial reform took to the streets of Israel again,“MIR 24”reported.

One of the reform-related bills passed its first reading the day before. This caused the next wave of large-scale demonstrations. The Israelis blocked roads, including those to Jerusalem.

Thousands of people are protesting and shouting in front of the presidential office in Jerusalem, as well as at Ben Gurion International Airport. Police tried to use water sprayers to disperse them. Dozens of protesters were arrested.

Mass protests against the reform have been going on for several months. As a result of the reforms, the Supreme Court would be denied review of the laws, and politicians in the coalition would gain control over the appointment of judges.

On July 1, 130,000 people attended a rally in the center of Tel Aviv. The organizers of the protest stated that the figure was inaccurate, with 300,000 people in Israel attending the protest that day.
