The press service of the State Customs Committee reports that the illegal circulation of drugs and tobacco products worth 1 billion 406 million soums has been uncovered in Fergana.

It is noted that the employees of the anti-smuggling department of the Fergana region customs department, in cooperation with the region's State Customs Service, held a quick event in Dangara district.

During the event, citizen T.V. It was found that there are more than 292,000 non-guaranteed medicines and 30,000 boxes of tobacco products without excise stamps, which are illegally stored in his house, produced abroad, without relevant documents confirming that they have passed customs clearance, with a total value of 1 billion 406 million soums.

Currently, the investigation is being carried out in connection with this situation.

Before that, the illegal circulation of tobacco and medicines worth 1.8 billion soums was exposed in Syrdarya. At the beginning of August, it was reported that drugs worth 550 million soums were destroyed in Namangan, and high-quality drugs produced by a Ukrainian company were delivered for the needs of the population of Uzbekistan.
