In Fergana, a man sued his ex-wife for evading alimony payments

A man living in the Oltiariq district of Fergana region went to court against his ex-wife, asking her to collect alimony for the financial support of his two minor children.
On April 11, the court imposed an obligation on the woman to pay one-third of her income as alimony. However, the woman evaded this obligation and went into hiding.
As a result of search measures conducted by the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, the woman was found in another region and detained. In court, the woman admitted that she owed 22,363,310 soums in alimony, but refused to pay. According to the court decision, she was sentenced to 7 days of administrative detention.
