In Ecuador, presidential candidates came to the polls wearing bulletproof vests and helmets, according to the Ecuavisa TV channel. In the country, on August 9, presidential candidate Fernando Villavisencio was shot from the Stroy movement.

Presidential elections were held in Ecuador on August 20. To take part in it, Villavisencio was replaced at the polling station by Christian Zurita, a candidate from The Story movement, wearing an armored vest.The candidate cast his vote, accompanied by police and soldiers.
