Screenings will be held free of charge as part of the first International Film Festival "Toji Somon", in total, cinematographers from Russia brought 5 works
"Days of Russian Cinema" are held in Tajikistan.
For the first time they are held under the logo of the "Russian Film Festival."
The opening of the film festival took place in front of a full house in the cinema of the Kokhi Navruz complex in the center of Dushanbe.
Viewers could see the film “Distant Close Ones” by the young director Ivan Sosnin.
The head of the Department of Cinematography and Digital Development of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Davidenko, emphasized that the best films were brought to Dushanbe in order to present them to the Tajik audience.
He also expressed hope that these works will be shown in cinemas in Tajikistan.
"Days of Russian Cinema" in Tajikistan are held as part of the first Dushanbe International Film Festival "Taj Somon".
As part of this event, representatives of the film industry arrived from Russia, and, in addition to films, cultural events with their participation will be held in the capital.
This includes the exchange of experience through round tables, speeches by filmmakers to audiences, and master classes.
A similar event has already covered more than 30 countries around the world and attracted more than 8.5 VKY spectators. Roskino representative Rimma Sachunova noted that Tajikistan has now joined the global project.
The event, called Russian Film Festival, will take place from October 15 to 19.
Tajiks will be able to watch films produced by Russian directors in the Navruz and Parthenon cinemas.

The screenings will be held free of charge as part of an event organized by the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan - these days the first International Film Festival "Toji Somon" starts in Dushanbe.
In total, cinemas from Russia will present 5 works to the audience.
