More than 13,000 Uzbek citizens who tried to cross the border illegally were arrested in the USA in the past two years. This was reported by Fox News, citing internal information of the US Customs and Border Protection Service.

It is noted that from October 2021 to October 2023, tens of thousands of citizens tried to illegally enter the United States through Mexico, and the government of the country included them in the category of "persons of special interest". In the opinion of the US government, these individuals are considered a threat to the security of the United States because they entered the country through routes connected or likely to be connected to terrorism.

The largest number of people trying to illegally cross the US border in two years are citizens of Turkey - 30,830 people. Citizens of the following countries are also in the leading positions in this regard:

15,594 citizens of Mauritania;
13,624 citizens of Uzbekistan;
6386 citizens of Afghanistan;
3153 Egyptian citizens;
1613 citizens of Pakistan.
These figures do not include those who managed to enter the territory of the country and passed through the ports. According to sources, during the administration of Biden, more than 1.5 million "refugees" managed to enter the United States.

On September 11, it was reported that a person was arrested in Samarkand who promised to send him to work in the USA via Samarkand-Istanbul-Madrid-Nicaragua for 14 thousand dollars. In mid-June, a person who received 40 thousand dollars to send two people to the USA was arrested in Samarkand. In May, a person who received 30,000 dollars to send to the USA in such illegal ways was arrested.
