Illegal export to Tajikistan of 84 thousand cans of canned food crossed in the Chelyabinsk region

Employees of the Chelyabinsk customs, together with colleagues from the department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region, stopped an attempt to illegally export 84,000 cans of canned fish to Tajikistan, the press service of the customs told reporters.

“A truck with 84 thousand cans of canned fish products was stopped at the Bugristoye international automobile checkpoint in the Chelyabinsk region. The driver presented a veterinary certificate, which turned out to be fake,” the press service said.

Employees of the department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region handed over to the customs materials of operational-search activities. A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal movement of strategically important resources across the customs border, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement)
