Illegal cigarettes worth almost 13 billion soums were stopped in Surkhandarya

The employees of the customs department of Surkhandarya region stopped illegal cigarettes in the amount of 13 billion soums, which entered the border customs post "Baldir" from the neighboring country.

It is noted that the customs authorities are systematically fighting against the illegal circulation of tobacco products.

The employees of the customs department carried out customs control of one of the wagons of the railway train that entered the border customs post of "Baldir" railway from the neighboring country. In this wagon, it was found that there were 851,460 boxes of "Jesse Change" cigarettes with a total value of 12 billion 771 million soums, which were not shown in the cargo tracking documents, did not have excise stamps and were hidden from customs control, - said the official.

It is noted that the customs authorities are currently investigating this situation.
