Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan has always supported the strengthening of the Organization of Turkic States

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted that the start of the meeting of the Ministers for Emergency Situations of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku is a very important event. He expressed confidence that his results would be very successful.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received the participants of the 2nd meeting of the Ministers for Disaster Management and Emergency Situations of the member states and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as the Baku-2023 international exercises, AZERTAC reported.
The head of state received an audience with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan Syrym Sharipkhanov, Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Boobek Azhikeyev, Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan Abdulla Kuldasheva and Minister of Internal Affairs of Northern Cyprus Dursun Oguz .
The President of Azerbaijan noted that the start of the meeting of the Ministers for Emergency Situations of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku is a very important event. He expressed confidence that his results would be very successful.
"Now there is a serious preparatory work for the Summit of the Heads of Turkic States, including work on emergency management. There is a great need for this, because we all know that the number of emergency situations has sharply increased in our region and the world as a whole recently "There are many reasons for this. However, the fact is that today unprecedented floods, earthquakes, fires have become commonplace," Ilham Aliyev said.

He also stated that the rescue missions carried out by Azerbaijan in various regions, including in countries that unite the Turkic world, clearly demonstrate its capabilities and intentions.
According to him, the Azerbaijan Republic has always supported the strengthening of the Organization of Turkic States, and relations with the member countries of the organization occupy the first place among its foreign policy priorities.
"We must always be close to each other, all member countries make their valuable contribution to the development of the UTC. I have repeatedly stated this, at the same time we have demonstrated this in practical work," the head of state stressed.
