Citizen fleeing from police officers struck by a BYD vehicle

A video has circulated on social media showing a man—reportedly fleeing from a patrol officer—being struck by a car. The Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs (GUVD) has provided an official statement regarding the incident.
According to the statement, on October 19, an individual who was wanted by authorities attempted to escape from police officers at the "Malika" shopping complex in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent. The man fled while his documents were being checked and was subsequently struck by a BYD vehicle. He was then apprehended by the police officers.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
