“If you're in a bad mood, don't come to work”: an unusual rule in a Chinese company

Yu Donglai, the founder of the Chinese company Pang Dong Lai, has introduced an unusual rule for employees: if you feel unwell, stressed, or in a low mood, you may skip work — no approval from management is required.
The company has long been known for its employee-friendly policies: a 7-hour workday, extended annual leave, and internal rules aimed at reducing stress.

According to Yu Donglai: “A happy person means a strong team, and a strong team means strong results.”
