“If you are ready to be homeless, get a loan” — Syrdarya regional khokim
Syrdarya regional khokim Erkinjon Turdimov warned a woman who came to him seeking a loan about the consequences of debt.
The woman asked for a loan of 120 million soums to install water on her plot and build a house. The khokim noted that interest payments on the loan could lead to financial difficulties in the future, and said that failure to repay the loan would pose a risk of losing her home.
The khokim also announced that the khokim would provide practical assistance to the woman in installing water on her plot.
During the meeting, 25 citizens' appeals were considered and those responsible for resolving them were identified.
