“I think it’s unfair!” — Palestinian FA president denied US visa
Despite being accredited by FIFA, Palestinian Football Association President Jibril Rajoub has been denied a US visa. That’s why he cannot attend the World Cup matches being held in the US.
Rajoub had planned to travel to the US as part of an international football delegation to watch the tournament, but was forced to stay in Mexico after being denied a visa. He called the US decision unfair and said it was politically motivated.
As it turned out, this is not the first time this has happened during the World Cup. Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan and some Iraqi football officials have had problems entering the US.
