Human brain tissue transplanted into mouse brain: scientists conduct new experiment.

Scientists transplanted lab-grown human brain tissue into the brains of genetically modified mice. Researchers state that this method represents a significant step forward in studying human brain development and various diseases.
During the experiment, the human brain tissue developed within the mouse brain and integrated with its nervous system. Neural networks involved in cognition and other complex processes, as well as rare human cell types, formed within the tissue.
The scientists then placed the mice in a low-oxygen environment. While no significant changes were observed in ordinary mice, those with the transplanted human brain tissue exhibited impaired movement and walking abilities.
Researchers note that this method enables the study of how conditions such as autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and schizophrenia develop within a living organism. It may also help in understanding the impact of oxygen deprivation during birth on an infant's brain. The study results were published in the journal *Nature*.
