In Tajikistan, the law "On streamlining traditions, celebrations and rituals" was violated 419 times.

This was announced during the reporting press conference by the head of the Committee for Religious Affairs Sulaimon Davlatzoda.

The chairman of the department noted that more than 12.4 thousand inspections were carried out in total, which is 3 more than in the same period last year.

According to him, in Dushanbe the law was violated 61 times. For comparison, this figure for 2022 was 50.

In other areas, the situation is as follows:

Khatlon - 142 (165 in 2022);

Districts of republican subordination - 85 (66),

Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region - 15 (8),

Sughd region - 116 (127).

Recall that the law "On streamlining traditions, celebrations and rituals" was adopted in Tajikistan in 2007.
