287 people were killed by natural and man-made emergencies in Uzbekistan in 2022. 

According to statistics, emergencies of a natural and man-made nature occurred in 2022 amounted to 131. The accident killed 287 people and injured 297.

Of this, those of natural nature numbered 55, those killed 127, and those injured 88. Fires formed the bulk of man-made-nature emergencies.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan recorded 4,772 YTH in the past seven months of 2023. According to Kutbitdin Burkhanov, chairman of the defense and security affairs committee of the Senate of the Supreme Assembly, 1,115 people were killed as a result of these Yths, 4,564 received various injuries of the body.

The country has also reported more than 90 cases of IS gas poisoning since early 2022. As a result of this, 146 people died, another 50 citizens were injured.
