Kobiljon Aliyev was killed at school by a Russian teenager, and the attack was described as being motivated by ethnic hatred. The suspect is currently in temporary detention. Following the incident, the presidents of Tajikistan and Russia met and agreed to personally oversee the investigation and the punishment of those responsible.
