Ingredients:
600 g flour
1 egg
A pinch of salt
5 potatoes
4 onions
For the sauce:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion
3–4 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
Preparation:
Combine the egg, flour, salt, and water in a bowl and knead into a dough of medium softness. While the dough rests, finely chop the potatoes and onions, and season with a little salt and spices. Next, roll out the dough thinly and cut it into squares. Place the filling onto the dough squares, fold them up, and arrange them in the steamer tiers. Before arranging the *honim*, grease the steamer tiers and brush the tops of the *honim* with oil. Steam on the stovetop for 45 minutes. For the sauce, sauté the onion in hot oil; once cooked, add the tomato paste, water, salt, and sugar, and mix well. Stack the cooked *honim* on a plate, spreading the sauce over each layer. Our delicious *honim* is ready!
Bon appétit🥰🤗
