High-speed trains to be produced in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan plans to produce high-speed trains at local factories. According to Hikmatulla Rahmatov, deputy chairman of Uzbekistan Railways, the process will be launched after negotiations with foreign partners, and production is expected to begin in 2027.

It is planned to produce 10 trains per year, and their price will be 10-15% cheaper than imported high-speed trains. Local production will create jobs, taxes will be paid in Uzbekistan, and foreign exchange will be earned through exports.

The trains will be delivered not only within the country, but also to Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the CIS.
