On April 7, more than 5,500 houses and buildings were flooded in seven regions of Kazakhstan.

In the regions of Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan and West Kazakhstan, there are 3702 private residential buildings, 562 yard areas, 1822 rural houses, 73 buildings of various purposes and 155 It was said that the highways were flooded.

According to information, 72,284 people, including 17,217 children, were rescued and evacuated from flood zones. 14,430 Kazakhs whose houses were flooded are in temporary resettlement centers. As a result of road cracks, 61 settlements were deprived of transport connections. Kasim-Jomart Tokayev said that this is the biggest natural disaster in the last 80 years.

A local state of emergency has been declared in ten regions of the country, including the Atyrau region in the west of Kazakhstan.
