Leaders of Central Asian countries arrived in Dushanbe.
This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
At the international airport of the capital, the heads of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Kyrgyzstan and Sadyr Japarov were met by the Prime Minister of the Republic Kohir Rasulzoda and other officials.
Leaders of the states of the region arrived to participate in the anniversary Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian Countries.
In addition, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tajikistan as a guest of honor for the upcoming summit.
As part of the visit, Ilham Aliyev will take part in a meeting to be held on September 14, chaired by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
High-level meetings and negotiations are expected between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, within the framework of which issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed.

Let us remind you that the summit of presidents of Central Asian countries will be held on September 14-15 in Dushanbe. There, the heads of government in the region will discuss the effectiveness of implementing current agreements, as well as sign new agreements.
