Head of State: the purpose of the installation of the border checkpoint "Lachyn" is to ensure control

The purpose of the installation of the Lachyn border checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border is to ensure control.

According to the Report, this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

In connection with the construction of the Lachyn border checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, President Ilham Aliyev said that the installation of this checkpoint was provided within the framework of Azerbaijan's sovereign rights and in accordance with all international rules.

The President of Azerbaijan stressed that the goal is not to restrict traffic, but, on the contrary, to ensure control, and passage is already being carried out through this point.
