Sunnatilla Husanovich Bekenov has been working in this position since July 2022. Sunnatulla Bekenov was born in 1971 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Until 2005, he worked as the general director of the state enterprise "Uzbekistan Securities Depository". In 2005-2007, he was the deputy minister of finance, the head of the information and analysis department of the Cabinet of Ministers, in 2008-2009 he was the head of the executive office of the Cabinet of Ministers, and from July 2009 to October 2010 he was the minister of economy. In 2010-2015, he worked as the manager of the executive apparatus of the Cabinet of Ministers, and from 2015 to December 2016, he worked as the first deputy of the state adviser to the president on organizational and personnel issues. In December 2016, he was appointed the first deputy of the Minister of Economy Galina Saidova. In February 2018, Bekenov held the position of First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investments, and in January 2019, First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade. From September 2019 to December 2020, he was the director of the State Asset Management Agency. On July 16, 2022, Sardar Umrzakov was appointed the head of the Presidential Administration, and a few days later, Bekenov started working as his assistant.
