“Hands Off!”: Mass protests in the US

On April 5, mass protests against the policies of Trump and Musk under the slogan “Hands Off!” were held in all 50 US states. The demonstrators condemned their actions to lay off thousands of federal employees, deport immigrants, weaken protections for transgender people, and reduce funding for social programs, including healthcare. Members of Congress also participated in the rally in Washington. At the time of the protest, Trump was playing golf at his residence, while Musk was playing a computer game.
