Hamas has rejected proposals from the latest round of negotiations on a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. This is due to the fact that Netanyahu has created new conditions and demands to thwart the efforts of the mediators and prolong the war. "We are once again convinced that Netanyahu continues to be an obstacle to the agreement," said representatives of the Palestinian movement.
The Gaza proposal calls for a three-step process in which Hamas would release all hostages abducted from Israel on October 7. In return, Israel must withdraw its forces from the Gaza Strip and release Palestinian prisoners.
