Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed

Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in Gaza. In one of the strikes on October 16, it was found that 3 Hamas fighters, as well as Sinvar, were killed. Sinwar is considered the main organizer and ideologist of the attack on Israel by Hamas. He spent more than 20 years in Israeli prisons and was released in 2011 as part of an exchange. Sinwar was elected to head the Political Bureau of Hamas in place of Ismail Haniya, who was killed in Tehran in August of this year.

Khalid Mash'al Yahya is currently acting as the leader of the movement in his place.
