Tata Electronics, one of Apple's largest manufacturing partners in India, has fallen victim to a major cyberattack. The hacker group "World Leaks" announced that it had stolen over 630 gigabytes of confidential data from the company's systems and published it online. The leaked documents reportedly include technical specifications, component details, supplier lists, and early images of the iPhone 18 Pro, which is expected to launch in September 2026. The hackers also released more than 200,000 files via the darknet.

Tata Electronics confirmed the cyberattack, stating that access to internal systems had been temporarily restricted and an investigation into the incident had been launched. Apple has also indicated that it is investigating the matter. Experts believe that this breach exposed not only details about the new device but also highly sensitive information regarding Apple's global supply chain, partners, and manufacturing systems. This could potentially allow competitors and cybercriminals to identify the company's vulnerabilities.

So far, there is no evidence that any personal or payment information belonging to users has been leaked. It has been noted that the stolen files consist primarily of corporate documents. Analysts have highlighted that this cyberattack occurred at a sensitive time for Apple, as the company has been accelerating the shift of its manufacturing operations from China to India in recent years. Notably, one out of every four iPhones currently produced worldwide is manufactured in India.
