Gurieva and other Turkmen weightlifters will go to the qualifying stage for the 2024 Olympics in Havana

Turkmen athletes will take part in the Grand Prix of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), which starts on June 8 in Havana (Cuba).
As the ORIENT correspondent was told in the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the country, the composition of the Turkmen delegation for the upcoming tournament was formed by four people, including three athletes. The men's team included: Gaygysyz Toryaev and Shatlyk Shohradov. In the women's category, the silver medalist of the 2020 Olympic Games Polina Guryeva will perform.
The Turkmen delegation will be headed by the head coach of the national team Mansur Rejepov.
The Grand Prix of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) is one of the stages of the Olympic qualification. This competition will bring together over four hundred weightlifters from over 70 countries to compete for places in the ranking that determines the participants in the 2024 Olympics.
