Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with spiritual leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during which the parties stated that there was a significant potential for intensifying bilateral cooperation.
In particular, they discussed the readiness of the two states to intensify partnership in the fields of education, science, culture, healthcare and ecology. This became known during the visit of the head of the People's Council to Iran, TDH reports.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Ayatollah Khamenei for his personal contribution to strengthening good neighborly Turkmen-Iranian relations and invited him to visit Turkmenistan at a convenient time for him.
As part of his stay in Iran, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty visited the industrial complex of Mapna Group, where he got acquainted with the production facilities and technological solutions. The review concerned the products of energy, construction and other branches of heavy industry.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is ready to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Iran in response to the wishes of the leaders of the complex to increase fruitful cooperation with the neighboring country.
